Rambo Total Pest Control Celebrates One Year at its Headquarters
Rambo Total Pest Control celebrates one year at its renovated headquarters, “The Castle,” showcasing growth, resilience, and a strong future ahead.

A year ago, in May 2025, Rambo Total Pest Control celebrated a milestone: one year in its new headquarters, affectionately known as "The Castle." Located in the Puyallup/Summit region of Washington state, the distinctive building with its dramatic rooflines and sturdy 1929 construction shows the company's vision for growth and outreach.
A Vision Realized
The journey to "The Castle" began a year ago last summer when the owners, Luke and Tera Rambo, drove through the neighborhood and saw a "for sale" sign. Despite the pandemic's unpredictability, the couple envisioned potential in the aging building. They bought the property in November 2020, anticipating a few months' worth of labor to transform the former residence into a functional business space. But the project became an all-out, three-and-a-half-year renovation endeavor.
Massive Makeovers
The renovation of the building was extensive and elaborate:
- Upgrade of Electrical and Plumbing: The old systems were replaced in their entirety to meet current standards.
- Sewer System Rebuild: The entire sewer system was rebuilt for reliability.
- Driveway Expansion: The driveway was widened to accommodate additional traffic and parking needs.
- Replacement of Windows: New windows were installed to improve energy efficiency and aesthetics.
- Brick and Mortar Restoration: The original masonry was carefully restored in order to preserve the historic integrity of the building.
- Roof Strengthening: The roof was structurally strengthened to ensure it would last.
The team also removed the original plaster and lathe down to the studs, allowing complete replacement of the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. While these broad changes were implemented, where possible care was exercised to preserve the original configuration of the building.
Functional Transformation
The internal rooms were innovatively repurposed to serve the company's business purposes:
- Management Offices: Upper bedrooms were repurposed as offices for the management team.
- Workspaces: Dining and kitchen areas were repurposed into functional workspaces.
- Workstations: Three workstations are currently positioned in the living room, enhancing collaboration.
- Conference Room: The upper game room is utilized as a formal conference room.
Overcoming Challenges
The renovation process, however, was not without its hitches. Luke Rambo reflected and said, "There were moments during the three-year process that we had second thoughts if we made the correct decision to invest in this property. Now that we're done and we've occupied it for a year, we're sure it was well worth it."
A Foundation for the Future
Now, "The Castle" is a landmark of Rambo Total Pest Control's commitment to excellence and growth. Situated on two acres, the corporate headquarters provides sufficient space to house the company's operations for generations to come. The profitable redevelopment of this landmark structure reaffirms the company's commitment to blending tradition with progress, with a solid foundation for future success.
